You will connect a model, make an assistant that can look up records in one of your tables, and ask it a question from code. You need a project with at least one table (for example orders). If you don’t have one, follow the database quickstart first.
1

Connect a model provider

In Studio open AI → Providers → Add provider, choose OpenAI (or another), and paste your API key. Pawabase stores it sealed. Your app never sees it.
2

Add a chat model

Open AI → Models → Add models, tick a chat model and name it chat. Try it in AI → Playground.
3

Make the agent

Open AI → Agents → Make your first agent.
  • Name: Support assistant
  • Thinks with: chat
  • What should it do? You help customers with their orders. Be brief.
  • What it can use → Add → A table: orders, Find and Open.
  • Who may run it: your servers, for now.
Save.
4

Try it in Studio

Open Try it and ask “Which orders are pending?” Watch each step: it uses your table, then answers.
5

Ask it from your app

Run it from a server with a secret key:

Let your users ask it

Change Who may run it to signed-in users. Now a browser can run the agent for the person who is signed in, and the agent only sees what that person may see.

Where to go next

Give it knowledge

Let it answer from your help articles.

Let it do things
